--- Call for Applications: EUIJ Kyushu Study Tour 2016 ---
EUIJ Kyushu organizes an EU Study Tour which provides an opportunity for students to visit various EU institutions and to communicate with local university students. It will give you a great chance to experience the structure of the EU which you may have learned in lectures and to see a different way of life. You will also be able to gain firsthand knowledge of the “Integration of Europe”. We look forward to your participation!
1． Time Schedule: Mon. 29 Feb- Thu. 10 March, 2016 (9 nights/11 days)
2． Detailed Schedule: On the next page *Schedule may change due to
unforeseen circumstances.
3． Qualification: Students of one of the EUIJ Kyushu Consortium
Universities and who receive a
recommendation from their university
*If you are a foreign student applicant, please check with the Belgium
Embassy for a VISA application.
4． Number of candidates: About 16 (6 from Fukuoka Women's University, 10 from Kyushu University)
5． Participation Fee: JPY287,810
Amount to be covered by a student: JPY237,810
Each student will receive JPY50,000 scholarship from EUIJ-Kyushu.
*Please note that the fee is subject to change according to the number of
participants etc.
The fee above includes:
1) Airfare: Economy Class
2) Accommodation: Twin room (2 persons in a room) in principle
3) Meals: All Breakfasts and 3 evening meals, 2 Lunch
(Meals included in the fee are shown in the detailed schedule.)
4) Transportation Fee: Chartered bus, train, air plane during the official
program
5) Airport tax, etc.: Airport facilities fee, Immigration Tax etc.
6) Other tax/ Service Fee
7) Fuel-surcharge
6． Scholarship: Each participant will receive JPY50,000 scholarship from
EUIJ- Kyushu. (Applicants with GPA2.5 or above only. This payment doesn't need to be repaid)
7． How to apply: Send an application form (attached) with a signature of
your supervisor along
with a college transcript with GPA to the EUIJ Kyushu
Secretariat at your home university
shown below.
8． Application Deadline: Mon. 16 November 2015
9． Notice of the result: Early December (Student orientations will be held for
successful
candidates for three times between December 2015 and February 2016. The first orientation: Fri. 18 Dec. 2015)
10．Debriefing: Participants will be required to submit a report after the tour.
Also there will be
a debrief session held in late March (TBD).
* Preliminary learning: Participants will attend the EUIJ-Kyushu 5th International Conference on 6 Dec. 2015 at Nishijin Plaza, Kyushu Unviersity (address/ 2-16-23, Nishijin, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka).
